Ceramics, as an ancient and classic craft, can sometimes feel as weighty as a load of books, causing eyelids to grow heavy. However, Loves Craft finds itself humming a light-hearted melody.

About the event

In this exhibition, Loves Craft primarily showcases pottery vessels. Through the art of wheel throwing, where clay contends with centrifugal force, the studio explores the expression between nature and artlessness. They create pieces that deviate from standardized shapes like horizontal and vertical by seamlessly joining clay bodies. The gently tilted vessel forms and softly textured surfaces, molded with the touch of fingertips, come alive as glaze and colors fuse at the peak of temperature. Flames dance across the curved surfaces of the vessels, forming specks and patterns through the interplay of clay, glaze, minerals, and high-temperature kiln firing. This layering of tonalities and complexions defines the character of each ceramic piece.

Within the harmone space, Loves Craft provides visitors with aesthetic cues from their artwork and the ceramics-making process, allowing each guest to slowly immerse themselves in the essence of clay, glaze, and vessels.
